ARCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing premier residential and vocational services to people with developmental disabilities. ARCA offers a comprehensive array of critical support services, including community and family living, supported employment, specialized services, and community inclusion for the over 500 children and adults.
ARCA was founded in 1957, and has grown to be the largest non-profit service provider of its kind. ARCA relies on government funding and donor support to continue 50-year tradition of service excellence in designing and implementing innovative services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Challenge:
Because of the nature of the personalized services ARCA provides, ARCA staff members often work in diverse remote locations. Keeping track of each of their worked hours, account transactions, wages and taxes were some concerns which Arca wanted to resolve. According to Darrell Rasband, ARCA Payroll Manager “It was imperative for us to find a solution, ideally one which would help us manage payroll more efficiently and effectively”.
Solution:
Employee Based Systems provided solutions for all of Arca’s requirements. The fact EBS had developed products specifically for Sage Abra Payroll was of particular value to Arca. The EZ-Wage and Tax application from EBS facilitates calculation of part time and salaried employees’ wage and tax. The EZ-GL product helped in creating a transaction file could be easily posted to the accounting system’s General Ledger. EZ-Time Import automatically imports time and attendance data into Sage Abra from EBSTime, which is used to track all our employees’ Time and Attendance data.
